New Testing Capacity for Europe: QPace Analytics GmbH Invests in the Healthcare Infrastructure of Tomorrow.

With the establishment of QPace Analytics GmbH, a new provider of testing and batch release services for imported medicinal products is being launched in Germany.

Bensheim, September 14, 2026. Many medicinal products intended for the European market are manufactured outside the European Union. Although these medicines are often already stored and generally available upon arrival, they may only be placed on the market after undergoing the legally required testing and batch release procedures. Limited laboratory and release capacities frequently lead to delays of several days or even weeks.

With the establishment of QPace Analytics GmbH, a new provider of testing and batch release services for imported medicinal products is being launched in Germany. The company plans to invest a double-digit million-euro amount by 2028 to build additional testing capacities and establish a specialized batch release laboratory in Bensheim. The aim is to reduce bottlenecks in regulatory release processes and thereby improve the availability of medicines in Germany and across Europe.

The new laboratory will be located in close proximity to the pharmaceutical import and logistics hub in Bensheim. By consolidating goods receipt, quality control, and batch release activities at a single location, transport routes can be shortened and processes made more efficient. The need to transport products to external laboratories, as is common practice today, will be eliminated, enabling regulatory testing to be completed more quickly.

QPace Analytics GmbH was founded by Szilárd Varga, Managing Director of Grünewald GmbH; David Reckeweg-Lecompte, Managing Director of Pharmazeutische Fabrik Dr. Reckeweg & Co. GmbH; and Simon Heß, CEO of MSK Pharma Group. Together, the founders combine their expertise in manufacturing, analytics, quality management, and pharmaceutical logistics to create additional testing and batch release capacities for the European pharmaceutical market.

The first batches are scheduled to be tested and released as early as 2027. Construction of the new batch release laboratory in the Stubenwald district of Bensheim is planned for 2028. Once fully operational, the company aims to achieve a capacity of up to 1,200 batches per month. This corresponds to an annual volume of up to 500 million pharmaceutical packages.

In addition to expanding testing capacities, the new site is expected to generate positive economic impacts for the region. Approximately 100 qualified jobs are planned in the fields of pharmaceutical analytics, quality control, and batch certification.

By creating additional testing and batch release capacities, QPace Analytics GmbH will contribute to strengthening Germany’s and Europe’s pharmaceutical healthcare infrastructure. The company addresses a critical bottleneck within the supply chain for imported medicinal products, supporting a resilient and efficient medicines supply. At the same time, it will establish new analytical capacities designed to strengthen the European pharmaceutical market over the long term.
